Delivering water without contact with the spout is an ideal solution where hygiene is important, such as public toilets and washrooms. The presence of a limb is detected by an Infra Red sensor which controls a solenoid valve to turn on a timed flow of water. This is operated by either a 6V lithium battery or mains electricity.
