Intatec is celebrating once again being nominated as finalists in the prestigious H&V News Awards – marking 12 consecutive years for its innovative products.

The hat-trick of nominations for 2022 include three products within two categories, with the Staffordshire-based company finding out if they will be picking up any accolades in November.

Out of the 24 categories, Intatec have been nominated for:

  • Commercial HVAC Product of the Year – Components and Peripherals for its Intamix Delta
  • Commercial HVAC Product of the Year – Heating for its two products, the IntaKlean HP and HIPERII both being nominated.

The Intamix Delta range of thermostatic mixing valves has been designed and engineered for heat networks where the maximum distribution temperature from the HIU is 50°C.

In these installations standard TMVs that are approved to BS EN 1111: 2017 or BS EN 1287:2017 may not failsafe when used for bath, shower or wash-hand basin
applications.

These valves will operate with just a 5°C ΔT between the mixed outlet and the hot inlet.

The range accommodates these lower inlet temperatures whilst providing Intatec’s proven anti-scald protection for safety and peace of mind.

The IntaKlean HP Magnetic Filter has been specifically engineered for use with heat pumps.

These systems have different flow rates, operating pressures, and can require greater levels of protection to traditional systems.

As well as separating magnetic debris and trapped air in circulating system fluid, the IntaKlean HP also includes a unique direct filtration system containing a multi-layered stainless steel 300 micron fine gauze. System debris that is carried in the fluid is actively forced directly into the filter, separated from the fluid and captured by the fine gauze filter, while ferrous particles are still taken care of by the strong internal magnet that we’ve come to expect from the time proven Intaklean magnetic filter system.

The HIPERII is an electronic PID control unit, which provides constant monitoring of the system and the Modbus communications system, which provides easy-to-understand feedback for users.

Further features include optimised heating functions, auto-fault diagnostics and pay as you go (prepayment) switching which makes the Hiper II one of the most user-friendly HIUs on the market.

The H&V News awards have been running for almost 30 years and have been celebrating the achievements of the HVAC industry, showcasing the most forward-thinking, innovative and customer-focused businesses in the industry.

Intatec MD, Stuart Gizzi said: “We are of course thrilled to be nominated yet again for awards which are incredibly prestigious within our industry. Our team works hard throughout the year to research and develop all our products which make them market leaders, so for us to be recognised for this is a pinnacle for us.

“It has yet again been a tough year for everyone due to issues with the supply chain, but we have worked hard to continue to support our customers with these products which are all designed to improve people’s lives, so I am incredibly proud and grateful to the team for this.”

Russia-Ukraine Statement

The condemnation and imposition of sanctions on Russia and Belarus in response to Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine will have enormous implications and an impact on global trade, particularly on commodities, for years to come. The effect of the war on the building material supply in the UK is still to be determined. However, the region including Russia, Ukraine and Belarus accounted for only 1.25% of building products imported into the UK last year.

Intatec Limited is committed to ensuring that products which we supply are not manufactured using any material sourced in Russia or Belarus.
