Supervisory responsibilities
Warehouse Operators within the Zilmet UK Warehouse

Main Function of Job

To ensure the accurate preparation of customer orders for despatch, the receipt of new product from Zilmet Italy, ensuring targets, deadlines and standards are met. (In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required).

Main Duties

  1. Maintains goods in, warehousing and distribution operations by monitoring operational procedures
  2. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security and operations
  3. Assist in Inventory Control by conducting physical counts and reconciling with SAP
  4. Maintains condition of warehouse, racking, FLTs etc
  5. Ensure effective communication within and across the department and other departments
  6. Reduce the amount of overtime by improving department procedures
  7. Constantly work to improve processes
  8. Make suggestions for improvements
  9. Manage and report on department KPIs
  10. To contribute effectively to the continual improvement process
  11. Identify own training needs
  12. Ensure department complies with all ISO standards
  13. Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act and the company Health & Safety policy and procedures
  14. Implement and maintain all company policies, procedures and standards

  • NVQ2 in Warehousing or above
  • FLT Licence

Main Function of Job

To ensure the accurate preparation of BOMs/KITs ensuring targets, deadlines and standards are met. (In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required).

Main Duties

  1. Optimise assembly operative’s workflow
  2. Constantly work to improve processes
  3. Make suggestions for improvements
  4. Determine and track most important warehouse KPIs
  5. Ensure that sections equipment is properly maintained.
  6. Train, guide and evaluate new section operatives
  7. Monitor output of section operatives
  8. Benchmark section operations
  9. Reduce the amount of overtime by improving department procedures
  10. Reduce the number of ‘temp’ employees by improving department procedures
  11. Communicate and collaborate with other team members
  12. Help control inventory levels by checking components needed for BOMs/KITs
  13. Maintains condition of the designated assembly area
  14. Ensure effective communication within and across the department and other departments
  15. To contribute effectively to the continual improvement process
  16. Identify own training needs
  17. Ensure department complies with all ISO standards
  18. Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act and the company Health & Safety policy and procedures

Technical Support Engineer

Main Function of Job

To ensure the provision of a high level of technical support and customer service, by direct and indirect contact with all external and internal customers within the Washroom, Bathroom, Heating and Renewable markets. To ensure customer requests are processed efficiently in line with processes detailed within the Business Procedures Manual and standards of performance.

Carry out product testing and inspection of products to validate warranty claims.

(In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required).

Main Duties

  1. Technical assistance to external and internal customers within the Washroom, Bathroom, Plumbing and Heating and Solar markets
  2. Returned product Inspections and validation of warranty claims
  3. Maintenance of product technical data files
  4. New product development testing ensuring products meet with the relevant regulations, standards and quality requirements
  5. Quality inspecting and reporting of products
  6. Provide effective communication across the business
  7. Ensure effective team working within the department
  8. Ensure an effective contribution to the continual improvement process
  9. Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety policy and procedures
  10. Ensure compliance with all other company policies and procedures

Tools & Equipment Used

Computer, FAX, Scanner, Telephone, Hand tools, Test/Measurement Equipment.

Working Conditions / Degree of Effort Required

Disciplined operation, attention to detail and accuracy of information.

Accountability

Ensure compliance with internal business procedures.

Qualifications / Education Required

  • NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in relevant field or time served engineer: Desirable
  • Relevant industry / Plumbing and Heating / Renewables background: Desirable
  • Applicant from other engineering backgrounds strongly considered
  • Good standard of education within a Technical subject

Experience Required

Proven record of a similar role within a proactive Technical Team or relevant industry experience
